Recent Events:

ASEI-NCC's annual picnic was held on July 26th, 2008 at Black Hill Regional Park.

A board meeting was held at Mr. Damera’s residence on 15 June 2008. The board discussed the events for the rest of the year. It was agreed that we will have one more seminar sometime in September, and collaborate with United States Indian American Chamber of Commerce (USIACC) in their Annual Convention to be held sometime in November. This will be followed by the last board meeting for the year and a holiday party on the same day during the first week of December.

A seminar was held on March 22nd in Takoma Park, Maryland. Mr. William Kramer of International Rural Water spoke about IRWA's efforts to promote clean water supplies and sanitation in underdeveloped countries such as Guatemala and Honduras. Mr. Ranendra K. Bose., P.E., President & CEO, Bose Research & Development Inc., described his patented technology for air pollution control and energy conservation systems for automobiles, as well as recovery and use of methane gas from coal mines, land fills and oil refinery stacks. Mr. Bose is a past President of the chapter.

The National Convention of ASEIO was held from August 30th to September 1st, 2007 in the Washington DC area.
